God is in control where his kingdom reigns, those places we allow Him to reign.  Those places He is alive and active!  A vague or somewhat undetermined picture of God could result in fate ruling our lives.

Which are those places in your life where God does not reign?
How could you change this?

God’s kingdom will come near as you press into Him…so He will press into you.  He is like the Father waiting for His prodigal son, and coming out half the distance to meet him! Luke 15 vs. 11-31

HEALING is about moving that kingdom close to the hurt or need.  The atmosphere of God’s kingdom is everything Christ won for us on the cross.  This includes PEACE, ABUNDANCE, IMMORTALITY, NEW NATURE, RIGHTEOUSNESS and HEALING.

In what ways does your life fall short of the above atmosphere of the kingdom?  Jesus won it ALL for you on the cross!

Joshua 3 vs. 8: “when you reach the edge of the Jordan’s waters, go and stand in the river”
The river Jordan was in flood, but the people obeyed what the Lord had told them to do…and the miraculous happened!  Continue reading to Vs 17…

Vs 15:  “Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water’s edge, the water from upstream stopped flowing.”

Where are you being called to obedience?  Not questions, rationalizing, or understanding….obedience?

Know who you are in Christ.  He breathed His breath into us, therefore we are the breath of God in the world.  God does not waste His breath!

The Christ in me is exactly the same size as the Christ in you.

Meditate on these phrases today, till you know and believe them right to your very core!

Joshua 3 vs. 5 “Joshua told the people ‘Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.’”

Faith is what you expect to happen next.  The anticipation of the amazing goodness of God rushing towards me!
Expectancy is a by-product of:

• Psalm 16 vs. 8 I have set the Lord always before me.  Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”
• Get to know Jesus personally, learning things through a relationship with Him.
• Celebrate the small things in life and the miracles!  (Those things only God can do for us!)  One day we may be surprised by the big one!

Luke 18 vs. 35-43

The beggar knew who Jesus was, the son of David, and I’m sure Jesus knew what was wrong with him, but he wanted the beggar to ask him to heal him. And he did. When we know who Jesus truly is, we know that when we ask him for healing, He will heal us!

Healing scripture – Isaiah 49 vs. 23: “those who hope in me will not be disappointed”

Luke 9 vs. 37-43

We do not always need physical healing, spiritual forces are at work in the world , and sometimes in the past we may have opened ourselves us to things that are not from God, evil spirits can cause sickness. The spirit needed to be rebuked before Jesus could heal him. As Christians we cannot be possessed by spirits, but sins that we’ve committed and not repented of can cause the body sickness.

Healing scripture – Isaiah 55 vs. 1: “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come take, and eat!”

Luke 8 vs. 40-56

Is your picture of Jesus growing bigger?
In what way are you seeking to touch Jesus today?
What steps are you taking to touch Jesus?

Healing scripture – Jeremiah 33 vs. 11: “Give thanks to the Lord Almighty, for the Lord is good, His love endures forever.”

Luke 7 vs. 1-10

Notice the Centurions expectant faith before Jesus does anything!

Vs 7 “that is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you”

We are not worthy…we have been healed thru what Jesus did for us on the cross. He suffered so we don’t have to!

Healing scripture – Isaiah 41 vs. 10: “So do not fear for I am with you, do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

“We believe there is great power when those in Christ come together from across denominational barriers, to worship as one.” Amen to that!

Luke 5 vs. 17-26

Vs 17 “and the power of the Lord was present for him to heal the sick”

Nothing except the power of the Lord will heal.

Put yourself in this story, imagine you were there.  How would you feel after this experience?  Does your picture of God change?  How would your life reflect one of praise to Christ?

Healing scripture – Isaiah 46 vs. 4: “I am He, I am He, I have made you and will carry you.  I will sustain you and rescue you.”
