Jesus’ Friendships

What about Jesus , what value did he put on friendships?

Matthew 10 highlights the 12 disciples Jesus had.

Matthew 26:36 points out that he chose 3 of those disciple to pray for him.

So out of all the people who followed Jesus and listened to his teaching , He chose 12 people to invest more time and energy to. And then out of the 12, He chose Peter, James and John to be more intimate with.

Look at the friends in your life; see if you have the 3 categories, acquaintances, close, and intimate friends. Secondly look at the ratio of time you spend on the people in those groups , are you giving your most intimate friends (which can be family or spouse) the most amount of time and energy and accountability?
