1000 Drawings Book is available

1000 Drawings book cover

Remember the Night of 1000 Drawings? Well, whether you were there on the night or not, here’s some exciting news. The Legion graphic gurus have compiled all of the pro photography for the event - mailers, promos, Paballo outreach stuff, and (most importantly) a selection of the artworks - into a gorgeous 58-page coffee-table book.

It’s going for 100 bucks and of course the money raised goes directly to Paballo’s outreach initiative. To get your hands on a copy, contact David at 1000drawings@gmail.com or give him a ring on 082-600-0011.

Trust

Arch.jpgTrust seems to be a forgotten word these days. Or maybe not forgotten, but perhaps the power of the principle has been lost in the wake of the all-conquering trust demolisher: Scandal. We see so much of it in our daily news. Politics (Armsgate), Business (Fidentia), Sport (Bob. Sadly missed).

Scandals like these have led to the erosion of trust as one of the rocks upon which humanity stands. It’s a foundational principle that we seem to have lost, and yet is so glaringly obviously needed…

Nothing doing

palace.jpgSometimes we can believe we’re so right and yet be so wrong. An idea or vision or plan can seemingly come enveloped in God-breathed bubble wrap plastered with God-adorned neon stickers boxed inside a God-shaped container labeled with God’s return address, and yet not actually be from God.

This almost happened to King David. King David prior to roof-top spying, census-taking and child-denying. This was the King David fresh off the back of mighty displays of God’s glory in magnificent military victories. King David fresh off the back of uniting God’s people into an earthly kingdom that was absolutely God-centered it’s identity. A man filled with the presence and power of God. And in a moment he reveals something about himself that all of us God-seekers have found in ourselves… (more…)

Tree63 tour is under way!

Tree63 at the Blues Room

I was fortunate enough to crack an invite to Tree63’s pre-tour press concert on Thursday night. It’s not often that you get to enjoy a band of this calibre in an intimate setting like the Blues Room. It was a magical evening and I’m stoked to report that this is good ol’ Tree, all the way. These guys haven’t changed their formula a bit, and it still makes for a spectacular show. Go and see them - I guarantee you won’t be sorry!

Oh, and keep an eye out for issue #4 of Press On mag, which will include an exclusive interview with the band.
